How It All Began – 

My work began with a question from a friend. 

She remembered a story about burning Torah scroll where the letters don’t get burned but the letters are released and they go up to the heavens.

She said: “Sara I think that maybe you could imagine what that might be about.” I took on the challenge and it led me on a decades-long journey of discovery.

I thought maybe the letters on the scroll were made of something that doesn’t burn, a type of energy that gets released and becomes part of a greater whole.

I then created imagery to help people understand this idea of three letter Hebrew root words and their relationship to creation and to our lives.
